Financial Report
A financial report is a structured evaluation of a company’s financial data for a specific period or reporting date. It summarises key figures from accounting so that the company’s financial position can be assessed clearly and reliably. Typical contents include figures from the general ledger as well as prepared information for the balance sheet or the profit and loss account (P&L). A financial report is used to present results, balances and trends in a clear form and to support decisions on a reliable data basis. It is often used in reporting so that decision-makers can review the company’s results, assets and financial development more efficiently at month end or year end.
