Fixed Asset Accounting
Fixed asset accounting is a sub-area of financial accounting that deals with the management and valuation of long-term company assets. These include items such as machinery, vehicles or buildings that support business operations over an extended period. In fixed asset accounting, acquisition and production costs are recorded, depreciation is calculated, and additions and disposals are documented. It provides important information for accounting and the preparation of the profit and loss account (P&L). In SAP Business One, these processes are mapped with system support so that changes in asset values remain traceable and statutory requirements can be met.
