Gross Profit
Gross profit is the difference between revenue generated and the direct costs attributable to a sold product or service. It shows how much remains after deducting immediate production or procurement costs, before other expenses such as administration, sales, or financing are taken into account. In SAP Business One, gross profit is an important measure for assessing sales document, calculation, and profit and loss account, as it makes the profitability of individual transactions transparent. This allows users to check directly in a quotation or order whether the expected revenue covers the related direct costs to a sufficient extent.
