Item Master Data
Item master data is the central basic information about an item that is stored permanently in the system. This includes, for example, the item number, description, units of measure, prices, warehouse indicators and tax-related characteristics. It forms the basis for many business processes, such as material requirements planning or a sales document. If item master data is maintained correctly, processes such as goods receipt can be carried out reliably.
