VAT ID check
A VAT ID check is the verification of whether an EU business partner’s VAT identification number exists and is valid. It is an important requirement for issuing invoices without VAT on intra-Community supplies and helps to avoid back taxes and risks in compliance. In SAP Business One, the check can be automated directly from the sales order using SIGMA VAT ID Check , in real time and with the enquiry date stored. SIGMA uses an integrated add-on for this, which reduces manual checking processes and improves traceability. In the sales process, the customer’s VAT ID is checked before an order is dispatched and the result is documented in the system.
