Reference report Elbestahl: Implementation of SAP Business One Cloud Solution

The decision for SAP Business One as ERP system was made much earlier. During his studies, the managing director of ELBESTAHL Stahl- und Metallhandel GmbH Mathias Gehmlich dealt with ERP systems, including SAP Business One, in the course of his thesis project.

Due to the customer-side ERP competence, concrete ideas were expressed and various work steps were also carried out by the client himself.

SAP Business One hardware or cloud?

ELBESTAHL made a conscious decision in favour of the SAP Business One Cloud solution. There are no investment costs for hardware nor relevant hardware know-how is not required. There is also no need to worry about data backup and data management, and there are no charges for software updates.  This is all taken care of as a full service by the cloud space provider Cloudiax.

Financial Management Module provides the basis for Financial Accounting within SAP Business One

SIGMA carried out a basic initialisation as well as the design of the layout of the print forms. Due to the already integrated SAP Business One module Financial Management, it is possible to handle the financial accounting completely via SAP Business One in the future. For this purpose, SIGMA provided individual consultancy for financial accounting.

Since the managing director of ELBESTAHL Stahl- und Metallhandel GmbH is convinced of SAP Business One as an ERP system for medium-sized businesses, he is already planning to introduce Business One for another company.
