Batch management
Batch management is the systematic recording and control of batches so that goods can be clearly assigned and traced throughout their entire path within the company. In SAP Business One, it is especially useful when products are managed with production dates, best-before dates or other batch-related characteristics. This improves traceability and supports more reliable processes in quality management. It also creates greater transparency across the supply chain, because the origin, storage, processing and dispatch of a batch remain traceable. If a complaint arises, affected goods can be identified quickly and their use or delivery can be checked directly.
