Operational Data Collection (ODC)
Operational Data Collection (ODC) is the digital recording of times, quantities and processing statuses directly during the live production process. It creates transparency about when a work step started, was interrupted or was completed, and which outputs were actually delivered. In SAP Business One, ODC as an add-on can be used to transfer feedback from production into the ERP system in a structured way and link it to the production order. This improves data quality, traceability and the basis for evaluations of capacity utilisation, schedules and progress. This helps companies see more quickly in day-to-day operations where orders are delayed and which capacities remain genuinely available.
