Routing
A routing defines the fixed sequence of operations required to manufacture or process a product. It includes the individual steps, their order, and often details on the resources or processing times involved. In SAP Business One, a routing provides an important basis for manufacturing, production orders, and costing, because it helps ensure that processes are planned consistently and carried out in a traceable way. Together with a bill of materials, it supports better control of material usage and labour effort so that deadlines, capacities, and costs can be planned and monitored reliably in day-to-day operations.
