Storage Bin Assignment
Storage bin assignment defines which storage bin an item or an inventory movement is assigned to in SAP Business One. It ensures that goods in the warehouse are allocated to a specific location in the system and can be traced there reliably. This improves transparency in inventory management and reduces search effort as well as posting errors during putaway, transfers or picking. Storage bin assignment is especially important when stock is to be controlled not only at warehouse level but also more precisely within a warehouse. This means the correct storage bin can be entered directly during goods receipt so that the item can later be found without delay and processed correctly.
