System initialisation
System initialisation is the basic setup of a new system or client before it is used productively. Key settings are defined at this stage that influence later processes, such as company data, currencies, number ranges or basic settings in administration. As many of these entries can only be changed to a limited extent later, careful preparation is important. System initialisation therefore creates the basis for consistent data, stable processes and reliable use of the database. A backup is often created before this step so that a defined starting state is available if settings are incorrect.
