Reference report Theater der Jungen Welt Leipzig
By using the comprehensive ERP mid-market solution SAP Business One, Theater der Jungen Welt Leipzig benefits from the automation of its core financial processes.
The SAP Business One payment wizard allows a short-term reconciliation of accounts. Interfaces enable the daily transfer of financial accounting data from ticketing as well as payroll accounting data to SAP Business One.
The challenge
An integrated ERP software was sought to map the company-relevant processes in the areas of financial accounting, purchasing and sales. In this process, the possibility of connecting to the SAP system of the city of Leipzig was also on focus.
Implementation of the ERP project
SAP Business One as a complete ERP solution for medium-sized companies is currently used by the Theater der Jungen Welt primarily for financial accounting. Core accounting processes such as journal and recurring entries as well as bank statement processing are automated. The payment assistant allows accounts to be reconciled, account statements to be processed and various payment methods to be posted in the shortest possible time. Within the framework of fixed asset accounting, capitalisations and monthly depreciations can be directly taken into account.
Furthermore, SAP Business One offers the possibility of displaying profit and loss statements, balance sheets and lists of totals and balances, as well as creating your own evaluations and templates.
The approval procedure provides support in checking incoming invoices parallel to the document flow in the company. In addition, own queries enable a quick and easy search.
The ERP implementation enables the theatre to carry out cost centre accounting by department.
With the cost unit accounting by play, a distinction is made between the individual costs before the premiere, after the premiere and for guest performances.
The financial accounting data from ticketing is transferred daily via interface to SAP Business One. Data from payroll accounting is also transferred.
The Theater der Jungen Welt is a municipal undertaking of the city of Leipzig and the oldest professional children's and youth theatre in Germany. With its cross-age and cross-sector range, it represents a place of diversity and is Leipzig's city theatre for children, teens, young adults and families.
At the same time, it is Leipzig's most frequently performing cultural institution, an open community centre and, through its theatrical educational and interactive events, a significant driver of cultural education in Leipzig.
